Overview
The Oaks by Windham is a 42 bed Assisted Living seeking a Wellness Director for overseeing the overall health and wellness programs within our organization. This position requires a compassionate leader who can effectively manage wellness initiatives, coordinate care for residents, and ensure compliance with health regulations. The ideal candidate will possess a diverse background in various healthcare settings, demonstrating a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for individuals, particularly seniors and those with developmental disabilities.
Responsibilities
- Direct all nursing and care practices for the Assisted Living
- Develop and implement comprehensive care plans tailored to the needs of residents.
- Oversee the delivery of health services, ensuring high standards of patient care.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to assess and address the medical needs of residents.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Conduct regular assessments of resident health and wellness, including vital signs and patient evaluations.
- Provide training and support to staff on best practices in patient care and wellness initiatives.
- Monitor and schedule staffing to ensure medication administrator is compliant with regulatory standards.
- Participate in case management activities to coordinate care plans for residents with complex medical needs.
Skills
The successful candidate will possess a combination of required and preferred skills including:
- EMR systems experience - Quickmar
- Long-term care experience including assisted living settings
- Proficiency in patient assessment techniques including vital signs monitoring
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and infection control practices
- Experience administering injections, phlebotomy, catheterization, tube feeding, and ventilator management
- Strong background in case management within various healthcare environments such as outpatient clinics or home health settings
- Ability to work effectively with individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral health challenges

Pay: $52,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
