We are seeking a Head of Logistics to define and execute Goldin’s long-term logistics strategy across domestic and international operations. This leader will develop the transportation and distribution capabilities required to support Goldin’s future growth, balancing customer experience, speed, cost, and scalability. The role is responsible for carrier strategy, network optimization, international logistics, and shipping economics while leading a team responsible for Shipping Analytics and International Logistics.
This leader will partner closely with Operations, Finance, Product, Customer Experience, Partnerships, and eBay teams to design the logistics infrastructure that enables Goldin’s long-term business strategy.
Define and execute a multi-year logistics strategy that supports Goldin’s growth objectives while improving customer experience and reducing transportation costs.
Design and evolve Goldin’s domestic and international logistics network, evaluating opportunities such as regional distribution hubs, international drop-off locations, consolidation centers, and strategic shipping partnerships.
Develop business cases for future logistics capabilities, balancing service levels, operational complexity, and financial return.
Continuously evaluate emerging logistics technologies, transportation models, and market trends to position Goldin for long-term competitive advantage.
Own Goldin’s relationships with domestic and international parcel carriers, freight providers, customs brokers, and third-party logistics partners.
Lead carrier sourcing, contract negotiations, service reviews, and performance management to optimize cost, reliability, and customer experience.
Develop carrier diversification strategies to reduce operational risk and improve network flexibility.
Partner with Finance to manage shipping budgets, transportation forecasting, and long-term cost optimization initiatives.
Develop scalable international shipping solutions that improve delivery speed, reduce costs, simplify customs processes, and enhance the consignor and buyer experience.
Evaluate new international shipping programs, cross-border logistics models, and market expansion opportunities.
Identify opportunities to streamline shipping workflows through automation, technology, and process improvements.
Establish logistics KPIs and performance dashboards that measure cost, transit times, delivery performance, claims, and customer satisfaction.
Hire, coach, develop, and manage the Logistics team, including the Shipping Analyst and International Logistics Manager.
Establish priorities, operating rhythms, and performance metrics that align the team with Goldin’s strategic objectives.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement, data-driven decision making, and operational excellence.
Collaborate with Operations, Product, Customer Experience, Finance, Engineering, and eBay teams to build scalable logistics capabilities.
Provide executive recommendations on logistics investments, operational improvements, and strategic initiatives.
Serve as Goldin’s internal subject matter expert on transportation, logistics, carrier markets, and international shipping.
12+ years of experience in transportation, logistics, supply chain, or shipping strategy, including leadership experience in a rapidly growing business.
Proven success designing logistics networks, optimizing transportation spend, and developing scalable shipping strategies.
Deep knowledge of domestic parcel carriers, international shipping, customs processes, freight transportation, and third-party logistics providers.
Experience leading carrier negotiations, transportation procurement, and strategic vendor partnerships.
Strong financial and analytical skills with experience developing business cases, transportation models, and executive-level reporting.
Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional strategic initiatives involving Operations, Finance, Product, Engineering, and Customer Experience.
Proven people leadership experience, including hiring, coaching, and developing high-performing teams.
Excellent executive communication and influencing skills with the ability to present recommendations to senior leadership.
Experience with transportation management systems, shipping platforms, business intelligence tools, and advanced Excel; familiarity with SQL or analytics platforms is a plus.
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Engineering, or a related field preferred; MBA or equivalent advanced experience is a plus.
Experience building logistics capabilities for a high-growth e-commerce, marketplace, retail, or fulfillment business.
Experience designing domestic and international distribution networks.
Demonstrated success implementing transportation cost reduction initiatives while improving customer experience.
Experience managing relationships with global parcel carriers, customs brokers, and third-party logistics providers.
Strong understanding of cross-border commerce, import/export regulations, and international shipping strategy.
Experience leading organizational transformation and scaling logistics operations through periods of rapid business growth.
Additional Details
The base pay range for this position is expected in the range below:
$135,200 - $219,500
Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
If hired, employees will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
