Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Weekend Day Part Time Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various environments, ensuring that all areas are safe and welcoming for employees and visitors. This role requires a proactive approach to cleaning and maintenance tasks, with a focus on delivering high-quality service.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming in commercial and residential settings.
- Maintain floors through buffing, waxing, and polishing to ensure a clean and professional appearance.
- Conduct thorough cleaning of restrooms, break rooms, and common areas to uphold hygiene standards.
- Handle waste disposal and recycling in accordance with company policies.
- Assist with minor maintenance tasks as needed, including light repairs and facilities maintenance.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel promptly.
- Ensure all cleaning supplies are stocked and maintained appropriately.
Experience
- Previous janitorial or custodial experience is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with floor care techniques and equipment is a plus.
- Experience in commercial cleaning or industrial cleaning environments is advantageous.
- Knowledge of residential painting or porter experience can be beneficial for this role.
