Work Environment
This role is based on large-scale data center projects in Montgomery, AL, within a mission-critical facilities environment. Work is primarily on-site at an operational or near-operational data center, focusing on ongoing improvements, system upgrades, and fast-paced technical projects rather than new ground-up construction alone. The team structure is smaller and agile, offering more autonomy and direct decision-making responsibility. Candidates may start on a contract basis, with potential for contract-to-hire or direct hire depending on relocation preferences and performance. During contract or contract-to-hire periods, a company vehicle is not provided, and the Superintendent must be willing to walk approximately one mile each way between the job site and the project trailer. Per diem and travel expenses are available while on contract, but not once converted to permanent employment. The environment centers on low voltage, security, fiber, networking, and building management systems, with steady, long-term work for repeat data center and federal facility clients.
