TITLE: Driver/Warehouse Associate

Position Objective:
This position is responsible for daily delivery to customer’s stores and restaurants, plus picking up materials from wineries and warehouses. The preferred candidate will also be responsible for receiving documentation of proper payment of material, at the time of delivery. On the warehouse side, would be responsible for performing an array of duties such as receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, picking and filling orders from stock, packing and shipping orders, or managing, organizing, and retrieving stock and other items. The position will report to the warehouse manager.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Essential Functions:
- Interact professionally with customers during deliveries

Safely meet delivery schedules on designated routes

Load and unload product from delivery trucks

Maintain fleet vehicles according to maintenance schedules including oil changes, cleaning, and general up keep of vehicles

Stock and merchandise wines at retail stores

Preform audit and checking in of wine with receiving locations

Communicate with customer as to receiving proper payments at each location

Maintain accurate delivery log

Understand driving regulations of location

Maintain a clean and safe driving record

Overnight trips may be required

Perform other duties as required
- Pulling wine bottles from pick sheets

Maintain warehouse cleaning and organization

Ability to operate a pallet jack
Experience Required:
- Maintain a valid driver’s license, driving record in good standing

Operate a pallet jack

Ability to comprehend picking slips and basic math calculations
-
2 to 5 years of experience driving a company vehicle preferred
Competencies Required:
- Safety – maintains quality standards and follows all safety rules

Technical aptitude – skillful in the use of tools, hardware, software, and equipment

Detail oriented – identifies defects and ensures compliance with specifications

Organization – maintains a clean and orderly work area informs supervisor of any defective or faulty equipment or material

Analysis & problem-solving: ability to work independently with little direction
Education Required:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- 2 to 5 years of experience driving a delivery vehicle preferred
Physical Requirements:

Ability to move product weighing up to 50+ pounds, including lifting, placing, pushing and pulling

May require bending, twisting, and kneeling.

Ability to drive a vehicle for extended periods of time
- Ability to work overtime as needed
Work Environment:
- Must live within an agreed upon location/ geography to service customers and employees

Work in a closed vehicle daily, are often exposed to very hot or very cold temperatures when working outdoors
