- Must possess a High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of sixty (60) college credit hours, or Associate's Degree
- Successfully completed the ParaPro AssessmentKnowledge of basic instructional methods, learning activities, and strategies used to reinforce teacher-directed lessons.
Knowledge of student supervision, classroom expectations, safety procedures, and appropriate behavior-management practices.
Skill in assisting individual students and small groups with assigned learning activities, practice exercises, and classroom routines.
Skill in monitoring students during classroom activities, lunch, recess, transitions, and bus loading and unloading.
Ability to follow teacher directions, communicate student concerns, and work cooperatively with instructional staff.
Ability to maintain student safety, reinforce established rules, protect school property, and keep students focused on assigned tasks.
