Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Closing Shift Part-Time Evening Assistant Toddler (18 months-36 months) Teacher to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this role, you will support the daily routines of toddlers, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment during evening hours. Your enthusiasm and commitment will help foster positive developmental experiences for young children while maintaining classroom order and promoting early learning principles. Responsibilities
- Supervise and engage with toddlers during evening hours, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
- Assist with daily routines such as diapering, feeding, nap times, and age-appropriate activities
- Support classroom management by maintaining a clean, organized, and stimulating environment conducive to learning and development
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's day, progress, and any concerns that arise during your shift
- Follow all health and safety protocols, including pediatric first aid and CPR procedures, to ensure a secure environment
- Collaborate with lead teachers to implement age-specific curriculum plans that promote childhood development and early learning skills
- Document observations of children’s behavior and developmental milestones in accordance with mandated reporting laws and classroom management standards
Skills
- Experience working with young children in daycare, preschool, or classroom settings, especially with toddlers
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices
- Certification in first aid, CPR, including pediatric first aid preferred
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and team members
- Ability to manage behavior positively while fostering a nurturing environment
- Familiarity with special education needs and experience working with children with disabilities is a plus
- Classroom management skills combined with patience, flexibility, and enthusiasm for teaching young learners
