Position Summary
The Controller is responsible for overseeing the organization's accounting operations, financial reporting, internal controls, and compliance activities. This role ensures the accuracy and integrity of financial information, supports strategic decision-making, and leads the accounting team in maintaining efficient financial processes and adherence to generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Accounting
- Manage all accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, fixed assets, and month-end close processes.
- Physical inventory counts.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in accordance with GAAP and company policies.
- Analyze financial results and provide recommendations to leadership.
Internal Controls & Compliance
- Develop, maintain, and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations.
- Coordinate annual audits and serve as the primary contact for external auditors.
Cash Management
- Oversee cash flow planning and working capital management.
- Monitor banking relationships and treasury activities.
- Ensure timely management of receivables, payables, and cash disbursements.
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop accounting staff.
- Establish departmental goals and performance standards.
- Promote continuous improvement and efficiency within financial processes
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
Experience
- 5 plus years of progressive accounting experience.
- 3–5 years of management or supervisory experience.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
- Experience with ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

Pay: $90,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
