Job Summary

As a closer, you’ll be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized workspace, processing transactions efficiently, and closing the store securely at the end of your shift. Duties
- Prepare a variety of sandwiches and food items according to established recipes and standards, ensuring freshness and quality.
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process retail sales transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Manage food handling responsibilities with strict adherence to food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Provide excellent customer service by taking orders, upselling menu items, and addressing customer inquiries with enthusiasm.
- Maintain a clean workspace by sanitizing surfaces, organizing ingredients, and ensuring all kitchen equipment is operating properly.
- Handle cash register operations including processing cash transactions, giving correct change, and balancing cash drawers at shift end.
- Assist in operating kitchen equipment safely while adhering to food safety management practices during food preparation.
- Close the store by completing end-of-day procedures such as cleaning, restocking supplies, reconciling cash registers, and securing the premises.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in quick service or fast food restaurants is highly preferred; culinary or café experience is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, food safety standards, and sanitation practices.
- Familiarity with POS systems including Aloha POS and Micros POS; cashiering experience is advantageous.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy periods.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver outstanding customer service with positive communication skills.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately and performing retail math calculations.
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely while maintaining cleanliness standards.
- Previous retail sales or food industry experience is beneficial but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate.
