Responsibilities
- Prepare and present a variety of breakfast items with attention to quality and presentation standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the breakfast area, including tables, utensils, and food stations.
- Provide outstanding customer service by greeting guests warmly and addressing their needs promptly.
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently to process orders and handle cash transactions accurately.
- Assist with food preparation and cooking tasks as needed, ensuring adherence to food safety guidelines.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy breakfast hours.
- Set up and replenish food displays while monitoring inventory levels to minimize waste.
- Engage with guests to enhance their dining experience, promoting menu items and gathering feedback.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred.
- Strong communication skills with a focus on customer relations and phone etiquette.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha or Micros is advantageous.
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately while maintaining financial integrity.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques.
- Experience in roles such as host/host or barista is a plus.
- Culinary skills including knife skills and meal preparation are highly valued.
- A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn are essential for success in this role.
