Our North America facility in Wixom, Michigan supports local manufacturing, engineering, and customer engagement.
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Business Development / Key Account Manager to drive business growth in the North American automotive market.
This role will focus on:
- Winning new business with OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers
- Managing and expanding key strategic accounts
- Supporting full lifecycle programs from RFQ through SOP
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sales strategies targeting major automotive OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers
- Identify and secure new business opportunities across product lines such as sensors, controllers, and wire harness systems
- Manage key accounts and build long-term strategic partnerships
- Lead RFQ/RFI processes, pricing strategies, and commercial negotiations
- Work cross-functionally with engineering, quality, and manufacturing teams to support customer requirements
- Drive program development from concept, validation, to mass production (SOP)
- Analyze market trends and competitor landscape to identify growth opportunities
- Represent the company in customer meetings, industry events, and technical discussions
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in automotive sales, business development, or account management
- Strong experience working with OEMs or Tier 1 suppliers
- Solid understanding of automotive product lifecycle (RFQ → development → SOP)
- Proven ability to generate new business and manage complex accounts
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment
- Willingness to travel within North America
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in automotive electronics, sensors, ECUs, or system-level products
- Familiarity with electrification, ADAS, or intelligent vehicle systems
- Bilingual in English and Mandarin Chinese is a plus
- Existing network within OEMs or Tier 1 suppliers
