Overview
Join our dynamic team as a Seal Coat Labor/Foreman and lead the charge in maintaining and enhancing roadway surfaces through expert seal coating techniques. Duties
- Supervise and coordinate seal coating crews to ensure efficient project completion while maintaining safety protocols.
- Operate heavy equipment such as seal coat buggy's, dump trucks, and front loader trucks to prepare surfaces and apply seal coat materials.
- Perform or oversee pavement preparation tasks including cleaning, crack filling, and surface repairs prior to seal coating application.
- Manage the application of seal coat materials using spray rigs or squeegees, ensuring even coverage and quality standards are met.
- Conduct utility locating to identify underground utilities before excavation or surface work begins.
- Maintain detailed documentation of project progress, safety inspections, equipment maintenance, and material usage.
- Lead by example in adhering to construction site safety practices and promote a culture of safety among team members.
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, dump trucks, and front loader trucks.
- Strong background in pavement maintenance or construction projects with site experience in utility locating and surface preparation.
- Knowledge of seal coating processes and materials is highly desirable.
- Ability to lead a team effectively while managing multiple tasks on active construction sites.
- Familiarity with Caterpillar equipment or similar heavy machinery is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to coordinate with team members and project managers.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; CDL certification is a plus. Pay: $20.00 - $30.95 per hour
