Job Responsibilities:
- Complete administration of all sales, promotional activities, advertising, and marketing efforts.
- Complete and implement a yearly Marketing Plan. Direct the hotel in the development, implementation and achievement of their annual business and market plan objectives.
- Identify new business opportunities and conduct market research to identify trends and potential clients.
- Maintain existing client relationships and awareness of customer satisfaction and needs.
- Maintain accurate records of all sales calls, emails, correspondence, and account communications.
- Direct solicitation efforts by personal sales calls, site inspections, telephone sales calls and emails.
- Provide strategic direction of rate, date, and space commitments for group room sales of the property.
- Oversee and provide guidance to Sales Coordinator (if applicable).
- Complete, organize and coordinate group block and meeting space contracts, along with associated administrative tasks.
- Obtain Business Travel / LNR Accounts through proactive sales activities.
- Maintain membership in local business organizations for the purpose of maintaining exposure of hotel. Actively participate in the sales process via customer meetings, entertainment and attendance at client and other relevant industry events, i.e. networking functions.
- Staff meeting participation with appropriate input.
- Attend meetings with Growth Properties Hospitality Management and General Manager to discuss revenue results, expenses, sales efforts, and productivity.
- Prepare reports pertaining to Sales and Marketing and review to discuss or implement sales strategy.
- Implement ideas for social media posts and promotions.
- Monitor guest satisfaction and reputation through online reviews, along with the operations department.
- Monitor productivity and activity for each sales team member and compare to set goals.
- Monitor competitive set, and changes in market conditions.
- Manage online content and update as needed.
Revenue Management
- With General Manager, monitor and control rate fluctuations based on high/Low demand periods.
- Provide strategic revenue management plans within the hotel to include rate development, establishment of group thresholds, meeting space utilization.
- Deploy strategies through the review of competitive data, demand analysis and market mix management.
- Ensure effective utilization of PMS and available revenue management tools and resources to maximize revenue contribution from all segments.
- Establish High Demand Dates and work with General Manager on appropriate rate levels and inventory for such dates.
- Monitor OTA websites and Hotel website for accuracy of information and online presence.
