Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and versatile Carpenter/Skilled Laborer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various aspects of construction and carpentry, with the ability to perform a wide range of tasks on different job sites. This role requires a proactive individual capable of handling heavy lifting, operating power tools, reading blueprints, and executing detailed craftsmanship to ensure project success and client satisfaction.
Duties
- Perform construction tasks as directed by the site Superintendent
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and equipment safely and efficiently
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings for accurate task execution
- Install fixtures such as doors, cabinets, bathroom accessories, trim, etc.
- Handle heavy lifting and material transportation on-site while maintaining safety protocols
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment throughout each project phase
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction work or related fields such as carpentry or remodeling
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, schematics, and blueprint reading
- Knowledge of various construction techniques including framing, drywall installation, concrete forming, siding, flooring installation, tile laying, and fixture installation
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently for extended periods
- Strong understanding of safety standards and OSHA regulations on construction sites
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in craftsmanship
- Physical stamina to work in diverse weather conditions and demanding environments
- Valid driver’s license required
