Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Evening IOP (Intensive Outpatient Program) Clinician to join our dynamic mental health team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive clinical care to individuals and families, focusing on mental health stabilization, co-occuring disorders, recovery, and resilience-building during evening hours. Your expertise will help clients navigate complex emotional, behavioral, and developmental challenges through evidence-based practices, trauma-informed care, and compassionate support. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough mental health assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing clinical documentation standards and ICD coding (ICD-9, ICD-10) to inform treatment planning.
- Deliver individual and group therapy sessions employing evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-focused therapy, behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and art or dance therapy as appropriate.
- Implement crisis intervention strategies to manage acute behavioral or emotional episodes effectively while ensuring client safety and adhering to crisis management protocols.
- Develop personalized treatment plans aligned with client goals, clinical ethical guidelines, HIPAA regulations, and medical documentation standards.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including social workers, case managers, and medical professionals to coordinate care for clients with co-occurring disorders or developmental disabilities.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation within Electronic Medical Records (EMR/EHR), including progress notes, treatment updates, and discharge summaries.
- Engage in ongoing professional development by participating in clinical research initiatives and staying current with best practices in mental health counseling, telehealth therapy, addiction counseling, and specialized areas such as PTSD care or pediatric mental health.
Skills
- Proven experience in psychotherapy modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, trauma-focused therapy, behavior management, grief counseling, addiction counseling, and child & youth therapy.
- Strong knowledge of ICD coding systems (ICD-9/ICD-10) for accurate diagnosis documentation.
- Excellent skills in crisis intervention and crisis management to handle urgent situations effectively.
- Experience working with adolescents and co-occurring disorders in outpatient or inpatient settings.
- Ability to conduct comprehensive mental health assessments using medical terminology and diagnostic evaluation tools.
- Competence in treatment planning, case management, patient care coordination, and clinical documentation standards.
- Knowledge of evidence-based practices.
- Strong communication skills for client engagement and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams across outpatient clinics or hospital environments.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
