American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Long-Term Care position at a state/government-run skilled nursing facility in Vestal, NY, with a focus on Alzheimer's, dementia, and rehabilitation patient populations.

Long-term care setting within a 300-bed state/government-run facility offering skilled nursing, rehabilitation therapies, memory care, and wound care

Patient ratio of 1:18–20

Night shift, 8-hour shifts (10:45 PM–7:15 AM), 5 days per week (40 hrs/week)

Every other weekend required upon center request

Charting system: PointClickCare (PCC); prior experience not required

Active NY State RN license required — no license encumbrances or hits allowed

Current BLS certification required

Minimum 1 year of LTC experience required; recent experience in rehab, med/surg, or other hospital settings may be considered

Must be able to pass a medication administration (med pass) test and clinical observation

Proof of NY RN license required for consideration

State/government-run facility offering a comprehensive care environment including skilled nursing, memory care, rehab therapies, and wound care
-
Responsibilities include medication administration, resident condition monitoring, accurate documentation, and CNA supervision
-
Night shift is noted to be slower paced
-
Relias compliance modules must be completed no later than 3 days prior to the assignment start date; allow 1.5–2 weeks for full compliance processing

All time-off requests must be submitted at the time of initial consideration — no RTO will be approved after an offer is extended

Shift cannot be changed once an offer is accepted

Candidate cannot take every holiday off

Call-outs require more than 24 hours advance notice

Any scheduling requests must be communicated upfront, as no changes will be accommodated post-offer

Scrub attire: any solid color with closed-toe shoes
