Position: Safe Parking Program Manager
Job Purpose: Safe Parking Program Manager role will act in furtherance of End Homelessness California’s Safe Parking programs with the goal of performing program management and support for all of our Safe Parking program participants.
Job Locations: Duties and responsibilities are to be carried out by working on-site from the multiple Program Sites in the City of Los Angeles and with program participants at our sites and participating in meetings with the End Homelessness California staff to further the mission of our Organization and Recreational Vehicle Pathway Home Program. Days and hours will be discussed and agreed upon with the Executive Director. Hours can vary and may consist of weekends and weekdays.
Exempt Status: Safe Parking Program Manager position is non-exempt.
Salary: $60,000-$70,000
Work Experience Requirements: Experience in non-profit program management, program administration, case management, social services, is preferred. Previous experience with HMIS and working directly with clients and linking them to services.
Job Responsibilities: The primary responsibilities of the position current include:
- Coordinate day-to-day operations of the Safe Parking Program, overseeing program participants, creation of service plans, and delivery of services to Program Participants on a daily and weekly basis.
- Conducts bi-weekly or weekly (depending on participant needs) check-ins with Program Staff and Program Participants to check for personal updates, and helping set up a plan for the next steps towards permanent housing solutions and job opportunities.
- Coordinate outreach and collaboration efforts with community partners to bring resources that will allow participants to have suitable opportunities and resources.
- Prepare weekly and monthly reports as needed to share with Management and Program Partners related to Safe Parking Program participant metrics. As well as activities and performance related to the goals established for the Recreational Vehicle Pathway Home Program and the Program Manager position.
- Support and work in all administrative activities related to Safe Parking Program and End Homelessness California Management and Support Team.
- Ensure that participants are following program guidelines and regulations on a nightly basis for the safety of other program participants.
- Ensure that participants' HMIS files are up-to-date so that they are being linked to any and all possible housing opportunities.

- Strong work values including dependability, timeliness, and a positive attitude;
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite programs, especially Excel and PowerPoint;
- Case Management services and social work background or previous experience required

Management of Participants: It is End Homelessness California’s mission to provide access to our programs in a manner that is humane, fair and caring. All program participants must be treated with dignity and respect and the services provided to them competently and fairly. All program participants must be provided the same quality services and not provided special treatment.
The employee must maintain strict boundaries with program participants – even when they attempt to test those boundaries. Program participants cannot be provided with special favors or preferential treatment.
Boundaries include the following:
- providing consistency, predictability and security for meetings and individual sessions, such as offering the same time and same place on a regular basis, unless otherwise agreed with you
- ensuring that sessions are in an environment which is calm, with no distractions, and the focus is on you as the client
- maintaining neutrality rather than judging or imposing values
- avoiding giving, receiving or exchanging gifts
- Avoiding non-emergency meetings outside of the office or after office hours
- Avoiding any inappropriate (emotional/physical) relationships.
- Report any emergencies or unsafe conditions to management immediately.
Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
