Job Description: Sales Representative
Location: Fredonia, KS, Includes travel to wholesale customers across the region
Type: Full-time
Pay: $45,000 base salary + quarterly sales incentives (tiered commission on sales above quota) Reports to: Sales Manager

Real Kansas Meats delivers premium, locally raised beef, pork, and poultry to families, restaurants, and retailers across the region. We're a growing company opening our Fredonia retail store and expanding online and wholesale. We're looking for people who take pride in quality work.
About the role
Our wholesale business is growing fast. You'll open new accounts, grow existing ones, and act as the face of Real Kansas Meats to restaurants, grocers, and institutional buyers across the region. The right person understands the meat industry and isn't afraid to walk into a restaurant or grocery and start a conversation.
Responsibilities
- Prospect and open new wholesale accounts (restaurants, grocers, institutions, and similar)
- Own and grow existing wholesale accounts: take orders, suggest additional product, and increase order size at every stop
- Coordinate closely with the delivery driver so orders, routes, and drops stay accurate
- Keep account pricing current with weekly market movements and communicate changes to customers
- Represent the RKM brand professionally at accounts, events, and store promotions
Requirements
- Working knowledge of meat cuts and grades: able to speak confidently about grinds (80/20 vs. 90/10), primals, loin cuts, and choice vs. select
- Proven sales experience; comfortable cold-calling and building long-term relationships
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel the region regularly
- Comfortable with computers, order entry, and basic sales reporting
- Dependable and self-directed
Nice to have
- Prior food/meat sales or distribution experience (Sysco, EVCO, or similar)
- Existing relationships with restaurants or grocers in the region
- Interest in growing with a fast-moving food company
Pay: From $45,000.00 per year
