Job Summary/Purpose
Supervises/co-supervises the daily activities of EAs in the design area, ensuring quality, efficiency, and compliance with company standards.
Job Duties/Responsibilities
- Approves timesheets; monitors vacation and other time off; ensures proper application of union agreements/contracts (where applicable), EA production, and overtime
- Works with the Planner/Scheduler to balance workload among EAs and provide technical support for customer questions or requests
- Approves design jobs up to $50K, including reviewing revenue calculations, CIAC, taxes, drawing details, and Points and Spans in DIS/GDT/Maximo
- Interprets line extension policies, tariff rules, and applicable NEC and NESC codes
- Conducts post-construction audits to ensure design accuracy and identify recurring issues
- Assists with complex design issues and customer concerns or complaints
- Provides training on basic surveying, field operations, DIS/GDT/Maximo, safety procedures, and construction standards
- Performs office audits, driver observations, and other safety-related activities
Minimum Requirements
Education:
2–4 year Technical Degree or equivalent Electrical Distribution work experience
Experience:
- 10 years cumulative Electrical Distribution/Transmission/Substation experience OR 5 years Distribution Technical Experience
- 2 years of Distribution Design experience using DIS, GDT, or Maximo
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Working knowledge of Entergy Construction Specifications
