We are a private dental office seeking a dedicated and energetic Dental Hygienist to join our vibrant dental team! Duties
- Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup.
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs and medical history reviews.
- Take imaging such as X-rays while adhering to safety protocols.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation review in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Support infection control protocols by practicing aseptic techniques and sterilization procedures.
- Collaborate with dentists and dental assistants to ensure smooth clinic operations and excellent patient care.
- Manage EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix for documentation accuracy.
- Monitor patient progress, review medical coding details, and update records accordingly.
Qualifications
- Valid Dental Hygiene license with current state licensure.
- Proven experience in general dentistry and pediatric dentistry preferred.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control, and medical terminology.
- Excellent communication skills with a compassionate approach to patient care.
- Ability to work efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
