About the Role
We're looking for a line cook who can move across stations without losing a step. Grill, flat top, sear top, salad, and prep. You'll cook an all-day menu built around breakfast, brunch, and scratch baking on East Bay Street, working a line where the stations depend on each other and the pace picks up fast.
This suits a cook who already knows their way around a busy line and wants to work somewhere the food matters.
What You'll Do
- Cook menu items to spec across grill, flat top, and sear top
- Run the salad station: portioning, freshness, and presentation standards
- Execute daily prep ahead of service. Proteins, sauces, vegetables, and mise en place
- Keep your station clean, organized, and in line with health code
- Communicate with the pass, expo, and the rest of the line to hold ticket times
- Monitor food quality, temperature, and freshness through service
- Follow recipes and portioning guides to hold food cost and consistency
- Rotate and cover stations as volume and staffing require
What We're Looking For
- Prior line cook experience across multiple stations: grill, flat top, sear top, salad, prep
- Reliable, on-time attendance. This is the one we weight most heavily
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen
- Strong teamwork and clear communication under pressure
- Solid knife skills and familiarity with kitchen safety and sanitation
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled
A plus: multi-unit or corporate restaurant experience, café, bakery, or brunch background, and longer tenure in previous kitchens.
