Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Kitchen Helper to join our commercial kitchen team. This is a temporary-to-hire opportunity with the potential for long-term employment for the right candidate. The ideal individual will have prior experience in a professional kitchen, strong knife skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with food preparation, including safe and efficient use of knives and other kitchen tools.
- Perform heavy lifting of up to 50 pounds for ingredients, supplies, and equipment.
- Support kitchen staff with gathering, organizing, and storing supplies.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas according to food safety and sanitation standards.
- Follow directions and recipes accurately while maintaining attention to detail.
- Work effectively as part of a team to meet production and service goals.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a commercial kitchen is required.
- Strong knife skills and familiarity with food preparation techniques.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds safely and frequently.
- Must be punctual, reliable, and willing to learn.
- Positive attitude with the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to speak and understand English to follow directions and safety procedures.
