Job Description:
Episcopal School of Jacksonville is seeking experienced bus drivers for immediate openings to transport students grades 6 - 12. Our Bus Drivers are an essential part of our educational system, and we value their contributions. A minimum guarantee of 3 hours for the chosen candidates with a valid A or B CDL with a Passenger Endorsement license. All chosen candidates must take and pass our Defensive Driving Course.
This bus driver position is a part-time position with no benefits, holiday or vacation pay included. Hourly rate is negotiable.
Background check and drug test required.
Additional Job Details:
A part-time Bus Driver’s essential function is to safely transport students grade 6 - 12 for a variety of functions such as filling in for full-time bus drivers, athletic functions, and field trips, etc.
Essential Functions:
Adheres to established procedures to provide safe transportation including complying with DOT, state/local, federal, and schools regulations and standards.
Maintains a clean and orderly bus to protect the safety and health of students. Conducts pre-trip and post-trip reviews of vehicles to ensure the proper maintenance of the school’s assets and notifies the Supervisor of any issues with regards to functionality and safety of the vehicle.
Ensures the safety of students through enforcing DOT and school safety standards and monitoring student's behavior during transport.
Other duties and tasks as assigned by the Supervisor.
Qualifications:
5+ years experience with a Multi-Passenger Coach Bus Driver experience a plus
Valid A or B CDL with a Passenger Endorsement license.
Must be able to follow safety procedures and precautions for the transportation of students.

Education Required: High School or equivalent/Trade school
