Board-certified or Board-eligible Internal Medicine or Family Medicine physician needed for full-time outpatient primary care position in Plantation, Florida. Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive medical evaluations, including physical examinations and health assessments for adult patients across outpatient and inpatient settings.
- Manage a broad spectrum of health conditions by diagnosing illnesses, developing treatment plans, and prescribing appropriate medications.
- Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic and other EMR platforms to document patient encounters accurately and efficiently.
- Coordinate with specialists in areas like cardiology, endocrinology, pulmonology, psychiatry, and others to ensure integrated patient care when necessary.
- Perform procedures including suturing, basic dermatological treatments, and wound care as needed within scope of practice.
- Provide health coaching and preventive counseling to promote healthy lifestyles and disease prevention strategies.
- Participate in clinical research initiatives and quality improvement projects to advance evidence-based practice standards.
Skills
- Proficiency with EHR systems such as Epic and other medical records software for documentation and patient management.
- Strong knowledge of medical imaging techniques like CT scans and diagnostic radiology to support clinical evaluations.
- Experience with inpatient hospital medicine, including triage, discharge planning, and post-acute care coordination.
- Familiarity with specialties such as psychiatry, endocrinology, cardiology, nephrology, oncology, immunology, rheumatology, gastroenterology, neurology, pediatrics, neonatology, obstetrics/gynecology (Ob/Gyn), and sleep medicine.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality and data security.
