Duties
- Operate heavy equipment including dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, cranes, and other machinery to perform earthmoving, grading, lifting, and material handling tasks.
- Manage construction site activities by safely maneuvering equipment such as front loader trucks, dump trucks, water trucks, roll-off trucks, and tanker trucks.
- Assist in concrete mixing operations using concrete mixers and support foundation and structural work.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance.
- Collaborate with team members to execute project plans efficiently while adhering to safety protocols and environmental regulations.
- Support the setup of construction sites by moving materials, clearing debris, and preparing areas for building activities.
- Maintain accurate logs of equipment usage, maintenance records, and operational reports for project documentation.
Skills
- Proven experience operating heavy construction machinery such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, cranes, and other heavy equipment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor issues and perform routine maintenance on machinery.
- Construction site experience with familiarity in earthmoving, grading, lifting operations, and site preparation.
- Valid commercial driver’s license with experience driving heavy trucks including front loader trucks, dump trucks, water trucks, roll-off trucks, farm machinery, and tankers.
- Knowledge of safety standards related to heavy equipment operation and construction environments.
- Ability to read technical manuals and interpret blueprints or site plans.
