Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Estate Administration Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team. In this vital role, you will assist with the comprehensive management of estate and probate matters, ensuring smooth administration of estates, trusts, and related legal processes. Your expertise will support attorneys in preparing legal documents, conducting research, and coordinating estate settlements efficiently. Duties
- Assist attorneys with estate administration tasks such as probate filings, estate inventory preparation, and distribution of assets
- Conduct thorough legal research across multiple practice areas including estate planning, environmental law, tribal law & regulations, and securities law
- Draft and review legal documents such as wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and settlement agreements with precision and clarity
- Manage case files using document management systems like iManage and PCLaw to ensure accurate record-keeping and data entry
- Coordinate communication with clients, beneficiaries, courts, and other stakeholders through professional phone etiquette and organized correspondence
- Review legal documents for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable laws; proofread and transcribe legal materials as needed
- Support project management efforts by tracking deadlines, scheduling appointments, and maintaining organized workflows for multiple cases simultaneously
Skills
- Strong knowledge of estate planning, probate procedures, UCC law (Uniform Commercial Code), and related legal frameworks
- Proficiency with legal research tools such as Westlaw and LexisNexis to gather pertinent case law and statutory information
- Experience with legal case management software including iManage and PCLaw for document review and data entry
- Excellent organizational skills to handle multiple priorities efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Effective communication skills for interviewing clients and drafting clear legal documents
- Familiarity with environmental law, tribal law & regulations, patent law, workers' compensation law, personal injury law, landlord-tenant law, family law, securities law or immigration law is a plus
- Ability to perform detailed proofreading and transcription to ensure accuracy in all legal materials
- Administrative experience supporting attorneys or law offices with clerical tasks such as filing, document management systems operation, and executive administrative support
