Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with menu selections, ensuring a positive first impression.
- Take customer orders accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, processing cash, credit, and mobile payments seamlessly.
- Prepare and serve food items according to safety standards, including basic food preparation and handling.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently to support food service operations.
- Manage customer orders from start to finish, ensuring timely delivery and upselling additional items to enhance the guest experience.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace by adhering to sanitation, food safety, and cleanliness protocols.
- Handle cash register operations, process transactions accurately, and reconcile cash at the end of shifts.
- Support retail sales transactions when applicable, assisting customers with product inquiries or purchases.
- Buss tables and assist with sanitation duties to uphold a hygienic environment for staff and guests.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth restaurant flow during busy periods.
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or quick service & fast food restaurant environments.
- Strong knowledge of POS systems for efficient order processing.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and positively.
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately while maintaining attention to detail.
- Basic math skills for retail math, cash handling, and order calculations.
- Familiarity with operating kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
- Knowledge of food safety management, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures.
- Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy shifts.
- Experience in retail sales transactions or grocery store environments is a plus.
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented setting while maintaining a lively, energetic attitude.
