Beechwood is seeking a dedicated Temporary Therapeutic Recreation Assistant to support our residents and maintain high-quality programming during a short-term staffing need. The ideal candidate is creative, organized, and passionate about enhancing quality of life for older adults.
Responsibilities:
Plan, coordinate, and lead daily recreational and therapeutic activities
Develop monthly activity calendars and individualized engagement plans
Ensure compliance with state and federal recreation requirements
Supervise recreation staff and volunteers
Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes
Collaborate with nursing, social work, and administration to support resident well‑being
Qualifications:
Certification as a TRD, CTRS, or equivalent (per state requirements)
Experience in long‑term care or skilled nursing preferred
Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and adapt quickly
Schedule: Temporary assignment; full-time hours Start Date: Immediate
