Job Summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Server to join our team in providing exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for guest services and a strong understanding of culinary offerings. As a Server, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality service in a fast-paced environment, ensuring that every guest feels valued and well taken care of.
Duties
- Greet and seat guests promptly, providing menus and information about daily specials.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently using the Toast POS system.
- Provide recommendations on menu items based on guest preferences and dietary restrictions.
- Ensure timely delivery of food and beverages, checking in with guests to ensure satisfaction.
- Handle cash register transactions, process payments, and manage tips responsibly.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including tables, utensils, and condiments.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth communication regarding orders and special requests.
- Address guest inquiries or concerns promptly to enhance guest relations and satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in fine dining or upscale restaurant settings is preferred but not required.
- Strong math skills for handling cash register transactions and basic calculations.
- Excellent guest service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers.
- Familiarity with culinary terms and menu items to provide informed recommendations.
- Experience with Toast POS or similar point-of-sale systems is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team setting.
