Position Summary
Nodes Up is seeking a Network Administrator to serve as a technical leader within our service team. This position is responsible for designing, maintaining, securing, and supporting client networks, server environments, cloud platforms, and cybersecurity solutions.
The ideal candidate has strong experience in Windows Server Environments, Networking, Firewalls, Virtualization, Cybersecurity Tools, and MSP Service Delivery. This individual will act as a technical escalation point for complex issues while also owning key internal systems and security platforms.
This position works closely with our Helpdesk Team Lead, IT Project Manager, Technology Alignment Manager, and clients to ensure reliable and secure IT operations.
Primary Responsibilities:
Infrastructure & Systems Administration
- Administer Windows Server environments
- Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and remote access solutions
- Manage virtualization platforms, including Hyper-V and VMware
- Deploy and maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions
- Perform server upgrades, migrations, and infrastructure projects
- Setup, monitor, and manage Dell Server Hardware in client environments
Network Administration
- Configure and maintain Unifi and Meraki firewalls, switches, wireless solutions, and VPN connectivity
- Troubleshoot network performance and connectivity issues
- Maintain VLANs, routing, site-to-site VPNs, and security policies
- Perform network assessments and recommend improvements
Cybersecurity
- Manage endpoint protection and security tools
- Investigate security alerts and suspicious activity
- Maintain security policies and best practices
- Support vulnerability remediation efforts
- Assist with compliance initiatives including HIPAA, NIST, and cybersecurity insurance requirements
MSP Operations
- Act as the escalation resource for Level 1 and Level 2 technicians
- Assist with client onboarding projects
- Participate in strategic technology planning
- Document client environments and technical procedures
- Ensure tickets are properly documented and resolved
Internal Systems Ownership
Maintain and support company-managed platforms including:
- Connect Secure & Huntress Security platforms
- Acronis Backup systems
Pay: $73,603.64 - $92,640.94 per year
