Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using proper patient transfer methods and manual handling techniques.
- Monitor patients’ vital signs, observe changes in health status, and report findings accurately to healthcare professionals while maintaining HIPAA compliance.
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary.
- Administer medications safely following care plans and document all medication administration activities precisely.
- Support clients with memory care needs, including dementia and Alzheimer’s care, utilizing specialized techniques for safety and engagement.
- Provide transportation assistance for medical appointments, errands, or social activities to promote independence and community involvement.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and ensuring the home is hazard-free.
Requirements
- Proven experience working with individuals with disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders, or in senior care settings such as assisted living or nursing homes.
- Knowledge of patient observation techniques, patient monitoring, and first aid/CPR certification.
- Familiarity with specialized care such as hospice care, home health services, or long-term care environments.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and assist with patient transfers using Hoyer lifts or other equipment safely.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, family members, and healthcare teams while respecting client confidentiality under HIPAA regulations.
- Experience working with individuals with autism or intellectual disabilities is highly desirable.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for client outings or appointments are preferred.

Pay: $16.00 per hour
