Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Custodian to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires attention to detail and a commitment to high standards of cleanliness.
Duties
- Perform daily industrial cleaning tasks to ensure classrooms, restrooms, hallways, offices, and common areas are clean, sanitized, and well-maintained.
- Carry out floor care responsibilities including sweeping, mopping, buffing, stripping, and waxing to maintain clean and safe surfaces throughout the campus.
- Provide porter services such as setting up and breaking down furniture, equipment, or event materials as needed.
- Ensure restrooms are stocked, disinfected, and cleaned on a regular schedule, with immediate response to urgent cleaning needs.
- Monitor and replenish cleaning and janitorial supply inventory; notify supervisor when reordering is needed.
- Safely operate cleaning equipment and handle chemicals in accordance with OSHA and district safety guidelines.
- Support emergency cleaning needs and participate in seasonal deep cleaning or special projects as assigned.
Requirements
- Previous experience in custodial or commercial cleaning is preferred.
- Knowledge of floor care techniques and equipment operation is a plus.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Familiarity with industrial cleaning practices is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
