In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and overall appearance of the church facilities.
Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of all church areas, including sanctuaries, hallways, restrooms, offices, meeting rooms, and common spaces.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum floors, and carry out specialized floor care such as buffing and polishing to maintain a pristine appearance.
- Disinfect restrooms and replenish supplies to ensure hygiene standards are met consistently.
- Remove trash and recycling materials regularly to keep the environment tidy and welcoming.
- Conduct light custodial tasks such as dusting surfaces, cleaning windows, and maintaining fixtures.
Skills
- Proven experience in cleaning or janitorial roles, preferably in commercial or institutional settings such as churches or community centers.
- Ability to operate cleaning machinery such as vacuums, floor buffers, and carpet cleaners effectively.
- Excellent attention to detail with a proactive approach to maintaining cleanliness standards.
- Good physical stamina for standing, bending, lifting, and performing repetitive tasks throughout shifts.
