The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for the administration and oversight of many key functions related to people-focused operations and general human resources compliance.
Typical Duties Include:
- Manage the day-to-day administration of firm’s group health insurance plans, including new enrollments and terminations, processing changes related to life changing events, reviewing monthly statements for accuracy and consistency.
- Oversee annual renewal process in conjunction with broker partner and other senior leaders.
- Manage all leaves of absence, including communications with employees and internal stakeholders
- Plan and execute annual open enrollment process.
- Conduct exit meetings and interviews with departing employees.
- Process new hire onboarding paperwork and support new hire orientations.
- Send firm-wide announcements regarding arriving and departing employees.
- Prepare offer letters. separation memos, and employee agreements.
- In conjunction with other leaders, address performance management issues.
- In coordination with others, lead aspects of the firm’s annual performance review process.
- Manage special projects related to operations and human resources function.
- Serve as first point of contact for employee questions or requests, such as verifications of employment/income, benefits issues, and similar.
Qualifications and Key Attributes
- Minimum of 5 years of related experience in human resources.
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Intermediate knowledge of Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in work, customer service, written communication, and excellent interpersonal skills.
Physical requirements
Must be physically able to operate a variety of machines and equipment including computer, office equipment, telephone, etc. Physical demands are essentially those of sedentary work. Tasks may require extended periods of time at a keyboard or workstation.
