As a Quality Supervisor, responsible for monitoring the inspection and testing of incoming material and finished products in accordance with Hoshizaki quality standards. Directs and supervises a group of employees involved in inspection and quality control procedures. Assists in root cause analysis and the development of new test methods and procedures.
This role is critical to ensuring Hoshizaki products launch reliably and on schedule.
Responsibilities & Key Performance Indicators
- Manages the detail test schedule for new products (primarily ice machines, some reach-in units) to support mass production readiness timing
- Manages Change Requests (CRs) and internal data logging (DAQ) to support test validation and root cause analysis
- Assists in developing test methods and procedures for testing and inspection to ensure that products are flawless and function as designed
- Identifies and addresses recurring problems with the quality of products
- Analyzes reports and defective products from production to determine trends and root cause
- Interprets engineering drawings and inspection data
- Assists in follow-ups with suppliers on quality deviations and corrective actions; ensures solutions are identified and implemented
- Directs and supervises a group of employees involved in inspection and quality control procedures, with subordinate KPI accomplishment rate as a measured outcome
- High school diploma or GED and 5 years of production, manufacturing, assembly, and/or quality experience
- Engineering background, with understanding of engineering theory and principles of design
- HVAC knowledge, with the ability to advise technicians
- Change Request experience and root cause analysis experience
- Understanding of test schedules in a production-driven environment (e.g., mass production timing)
- Proficient in Excel, including modifying sheets, checks, and macros
- Ability to read blueprints, diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals
- Ability to use quality inspection equipment including but not limited to depth gage, calipers, micrometer, product gages, and coordinate-measuring machine (CMM)
- Effective oral and written communications skills
- Self-starter, self-sufficient, with strong leadership/team management ability.
Familiarity with ISO and lean manufacturing principles (5S, Kaizen)

The salary range for this position is $[70000]– $[90000] annually, plus eligibility for a bonus opportunity with annual payout. This range is a good faith estimate of what Hoshizaki America expects to pay for this position. Actual compensation may vary based on experience, education, skills, and internal equity.

Requirements:
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or GED and 5 years of production, manufacturing, assembly, and/or quality experience.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
