Overview
We're seeking skilled and reliable Lift Truck Operator to join our warehouse team. This is a 1099 independent contractor opportunity the ideal candidate will be responsible for efficiently handling materials, operating heavy equipment, and ensuring safe and accurate shipping and receiving operations. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse procedures, safety standards, and equipment operation to support seamless distribution processes.
Schedules
2nd Shift Mon-Fri 4:30pm-1:00pm
Compensation:
Approx. $19.60/ hourly average (Depending on experience) | Paid weekly via 1099
Responsibilities
- Operate pallet jacks, clamp trucks, and other heavy equipment such as forklifts and cranes to load, unload, and move materials within the warehouse
- Perform order picking using RF scanners and warehouse management systems to fulfill shipping and receiving orders
- Load and unload goods safely while adhering to OSHA safety standards
- Assist with materials handling tasks including heavy lifting and proper stacking of products
- Maintain accurate inventory records through proper documentation and order picking procedures
- Support warehouse management in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to ensure efficient workflow and timely order fulfillment
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure mechanical safety and proper functioning
Experience
- Previous experience in warehouse distribution, shipping & receiving, or materials handling is preferred
- Hands-on experience operating pallet jacks, clamp trucks, forklifts, or other heavy equipment such as cranes is highly desirable
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanners is a plus
- Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations related to warehouse operations is required
- Experience in construction or with heavy lifting tasks can be advantageous
- Mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment operation is beneficial
- Prior supervisory experience in a warehouse setting is a plus for candidates interested in advancement opportunities
