Position Overview
We're looking for a creative, organized, and mission-driven Volunteer Social Media Manager to help grow Girlie Foundation's online presence and build an engaged community around women's health education.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain nonprofit marketing experience, expand their portfolio, support an impactful cause, and help shape the voice of a growing organization from the ground up.
Responsibilities
- Develop and schedule engaging content across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Youtube, and TikTok
- Create monthly content calendars aligned with campaigns and organizational goals
- Write compelling captions and calls to action
- Design graphics using Canva or similar design platforms
- Collaborate with our content creators, leadership team, and volunteers
- Monitor comments, messages, and community engagement
- Track social media performance and recommend improvements
- Stay current on social media trends while maintaining our educational and mission-focused brand
- Assist with campaign launches, fundraising initiatives, awareness months, and community events
Qualifications
We're looking for someone who has:
- Experience managing social media accounts (personal, nonprofit, academic, or professional)
- Strong writing and communication skills
- Familiarity with Canva and social media scheduling tools
- Creativity and attention to detail
- Passion for women's health, education, nonprofit work, or community impact
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
Preferred but not required:
- Experience with nonprofit organizations
- Knowledge of Instagram analytics and social media strategy
- Basic graphic design or video editing experience
- Experience using Meta Business Suite, Later, Buffer, or similar platforms
