Riverside Eye Center & Ambulatory Surgery Center is seeking a Per Diem Certified Registered Nurse
Anesthetist (CRNA) to provide anesthesia services in our outpatient ophthalmic surgery center.
This is an excellent opportunity for a CRNA looking for flexible, predictable daytime work in a professional outpatient environment. Our center is AAAHC-accredited and primarily performs ophthalmic procedures under monitored anesthesia care (MAC) and other appropriate anesthesia techniques.

Primarily outpatient ophthalmic surgery

Responsibilities:
The CRNA will be responsible for:
Performing pre-anesthesia patient evaluations and developing appropriate anesthesia plans
Administering anesthesia and monitored anesthesia care in accordance with established standards
Monitoring patients throughout the perioperative period
Managing airway, hemodynamic, and other anesthetic needs as appropriate
Providing safe and effective emergence and postoperative care
Collaborating with surgeons, nursing staff, and other members of the perioperative team
Maintaining accurate and timely anesthesia documentation
Following all applicable regulatory, safety, infection-control, and accreditation requirements
Participating in quality and patient-safety initiatives as appropriate
Qualifications:
Current Maine RN and APRN/CRNA license in good standing
Graduate of an accredited nurse anesthesia program
Current NBCRNA certification
Current BLS and ACLS certification
DEA registration or eligibility
Previous ambulatory surgery experience preferred
Ophthalmic anesthesia experience is welcomed but not required
Compensation:
Competitive PRN hourly rate, based on experience and qualifications.
