American Traveler is hiring a Progressive Care Unit RN for a night shift position requiring an active IN or compact RN license and BLS certification.

Hospital-based Progressive Care Unit within Medical Inpatient Services
-
Third shift, 3x12-hour night shifts
-
36 hours per week
-
Active, unrestricted RN license (IN state or compact) required

BLS certification required
-
ACLS certification required
-
ADN or ASN required, BSN preferred
-
No prior nursing experience required, though previous experience is preferred

Ability to assess age-specific patient safety needs and implement appropriate safety measures

Provide direct patient care including assessments, treatments, and nursing rounds for progressive care patients

Facilitate admission, transfer, and discharge activities
-
Deliver patient and family-centered education and care coordination
-
Collaborate with an inter-professional care team and appropriately delegate tasks to team members

Participate in unit-based quality improvement activities such as patient satisfaction, falls prevention, and pressure ulcer monitoring

Promote a positive, healing environment through evidence-based nursing practice
