American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with at least 1 year of experience for a 13-week night shift contract in an adult critical care setting, with proficiency in Epic and hands-on ventilator management skills.

13-week travel contract

Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30)

4 rotating weekend shifts per month

On-call required

Adult critical care and emergency department setting
-
Patient diagnoses include CHF, COPD, pneumonia, respiratory failure, and respiratory infections
-
Specialized procedures include ABG sampling, ventilator management, patient assessment, medication administration, and pulmonary hygiene
-
Equipment includes Hamilton Vent, Servo-U, NKV330, and V60 ventilators

Epic EMR preferred
-
Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility are eligible as local candidates

Active RRT credential required

BLS certification required

Active state license required if applicable

Minimum 1 year of respiratory therapy experience

Proficiency in Epic EMR

Experience with adult critical care and emergency department settings

Skills required: extubation, intubation assist, nasal/oral airway placement and suctioning, sputum specimen collection, ETT/NT suctioning, tracheostomy care and management, bag-mask ventilation, HFNC, BiPAP, CPAP, T-piece, trach collar, troubleshooting high-pressure alarms, weaning from mechanical ventilation, and long-term care
