Position Overview
The Contracting Specialist will support the onboarding, contracting, licensing, and compliance processes for independent insurance agents and agencies. This position offers hands-on experience within the health insurance industry and provides exposure to carrier relations, compliance operations, and administrative processes that help agents become “ready-to-sell.”
This is an excellent opportunity for a student or early-career professional interested in healthcare administration, insurance operations, compliance, or business administration.
Key Responsibilities
Agent Contracting & Onboarding
- Assist with processing new agent contracting applications
- Review submitted documentation for completeness and accuracy
- Help track contracting applications through carrier portals and systems
- Support maintenance of agent records and organizational structures
Licensing & Certification Support
- Monitor agent licensing and certification requirements
- Track training completions and renewal deadlines
- Assist with notifying agents regarding upcoming expirations and compliance requirements
Carrier & Administrative Support
- Communicate with insurance carriers regarding application statuses
- Assist with resolving contracting and onboarding issues
- Maintain accurate records in CRM and contracting systems
Compliance & Reporting
- Help ensure contracting activities follow company and regulatory guidelines
- Maintain organized and audit-ready documentation
- Assist with reporting and data entry related to agent readiness and compliance
Agent Support
- Respond to basic agent questions regarding onboarding and contracting processes
- Provide professional and timely customer support
- Support the team during high-volume enrollment periods
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Currently pursuing or recently completed an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks
- Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and data entry
Preferred Qualifications
- Interest in healthcare, insurance, business administration, or compliance
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
- Experience with customer service, administrative support, or CRM systems is a plus

Work Environment
This position is based in-person in Orlando, FL 32804. The role may involve increased activity during enrollment seasons, including the Medicare Annual Enrollment Period (AEP).
