The Shoreview Community Center is a fast-paced environment with over 500,000 visitors to our facility each year. Our 3-story waterslide is a main attraction in our waterpark as it twists and turns its way outside the building, then back inside, and ending with a watery splash! Guests can choose light and sound options to enhance their experience. This position is responsible for ensuring the safety of our guests while making sure fun is had by all.

In addition, we have pool rentals and special events that need staffing. Staff must attend two hours of in-service training each month and other meetings as posted.
NOTE: Your training, materials, BLS CPR/AED, Standard First Aid, supplemental oxygen, and waterslide dispatch certification are FREE.
*** Waterslide attendant certification training is delivered through a combination of on-line and in-person training. Employees are compensated at a rate of $11.50 per hour for their waterslide attendant certification training.
Up to $20/hour for weekend shifts and special events.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Perform all physical aspects of the position, including walking, standing, bending, kneeling, reaching, twisting, pulling, and the ability to lift up to a minimum of 35 pounds.
Requires ascending and descending stairs multiple times during a shift.
Must be comfortable with heights.
Work in warm and humid indoor pool environments with water temperatures 86 - 90 degrees.
Requires the physical ability and stamina to perform the essential functions of the position.
Ability to be exposed to noise and chemicals.
Slippery surfances walking on the pool deck.
