Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team at a leading manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in industrial maintenance, electrical and mechanical systems, and troubleshooting complex equipment. Duties
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment, including programmable logic controllers (PLCs), hydraulic systems, HVAC/R units, and electrical panels.
- Troubleshoot and repair high voltage and low voltage electrical systems using schematics, ammeters, ohmmeters, and other precision measuring instruments.
- Operate and maintain industrial machinery, including scissor lifts and other heavy equipment, adhering to safety protocols.
- Conduct welding operations, including <LOCATION> welding techniques, to repair or fabricate parts as needed.
- Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to track work orders, maintenance schedules, and inventory levels.
- Analyze equipment performance data to identify potential issues before failures occur; implement corrective actions promptly.
- Assist with technical sales support by providing expertise on machinery specifications and maintenance solutions.
- Follow safety procedures related to high voltage systems, low voltage controls, and the use of personal protective equipment.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and system diagrams for troubleshooting and repairs.
- Perform field service tasks at various locations within the manufacturing plant or customer sites as required.
Skills
- Extensive experience working within a manufacturing facility environment with a strong understanding of industrial mechanics and maintenance practices.
- Proficiency with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics reading, and control systems troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience with hydraulics, HVAC/R systems, welding (including <LOCATION> welding), electrical systems (high voltage and low voltage), and industrial electrician work.
- Familiarity with CMMS software for maintenance management.
- Ability to operate scissor lifts safely and efficiently in compliance with OSHA standards.
- Strong analysis skills for diagnosing complex mechanical or electrical issues quickly.
- Excellent customer service skills for interacting with internal teams or external clients during field service operations.
- Knowledge of precision measuring instruments such as ammeters and ohmmeters for accurate diagnostics.
- Experience working with schematics, technical manuals, and system diagrams for effective troubleshooting.
- Background in military or industrial electrician experience is considered a plus due to the discipline-oriented approach required for this role.
