Client Information
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate CNA caregiver for a 79-year-old client with advanced Parkinson’s disease and dementia. This is a short-term respite assignment to provide relief and support for his family.
Client uses a walker and is very unstable, forgetful, and at high risk for falls. He remains independent with dressing, grooming, and most personal care needs but requires supervision and non-medical assistance to remain safe at home.
Responsibilities
- Provide standby assistance with showers and personal hygiene
- Prepare meals and provide hydration reminders
- Follow fall precautions and closely monitor safety
- Provide transportation to appointments and errands
- Offer companionship and meaningful engagement
- Provide general supervision and well-being checks
- Assist with safe mobility while using his walker
Qualifications
- CNA certification
- Strong professional caregiving experience
- Experience caring for clients with Parkinson’s disease and dementia preferred
- Knowledge of fall prevention and safety precautions
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license
- Compassionate, patient, dependable, and attentive
- Must be able to pass a background check
