Duties
- Perform a variety of massage techniques including Swedish, deep tissue, trigger point therapy, sports massage, prenatal massage, and medical massage tailored to individual client needs
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine appropriate treatment plans and ensure safe, effective therapy sessions
- Communicate clearly with clients to understand their concerns, explain treatment options, and provide guidance on post-treatment care
- Maintain detailed records of each session, including client progress and treatment notes in compliance with health regulations
- Ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment by adhering to sanitation standards and occupational health protocols
- Stay updated on the latest massage techniques and industry best practices through ongoing education and training
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals when necessary to support comprehensive patient care
Experience
- Valid state licensure as a Massage Therapist with active certification to practice professionally
- Proven experience in providing various massage modalities such as Swedish, deep tissue, sports therapy, trigger point therapy, prenatal massage, and medical massage
- Strong knowledge of human physiology and anatomy to effectively assess patient needs and tailor treatments accordingly
- Experience working in medical spas or similar healthcare settings preferred
- Familiarity with medical terminology related to pain management and occupational health issues is highly advantageous
- CPR certification is required to ensure safety during all sessions
- Prior client communication skills demonstrated through positive feedback and repeat appointments are essential for success in this role
Pay: $36.76 - $60.00 per hour
