Key Responsibilities
- System Installation: Mount and place furnaces, heat pumps, air conditioners, and ductwork according to blueprints and manufacturer specifications.
- Connections: Securely connect electrical wiring, gas lines, thermostats, and refrigerant tubing.
- Testing and Calibration: Run diagnostic checks to verify system efficiency, pressure, and safe operation before project handoff.
- Compliance and Safety: Follow local building codes, safety protocols, and proper refrigerant handling regulations.
- Customer Service: Explain system operations to clients and maintain professional, courteous communication on-site.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Education: Completion of an HVAC vocational training program or apprenticeship preferred.
- Certifications: EPA Section 608 certification (for handling refrigerants) and valid state driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Mechanical Skills: Proficiency using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic multimeters.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift heavy equipment (up to 100 lbs), stand for long periods, and work in tight crawlspaces or extreme temperatures.
Pay: $25.00 - $38.00 per hour
