Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate Licensed Massage Therapist who works with therapeutic and deep tissue massage to join our dynamic wellness team. Duties
- Perform professional massage therapy sessions utilizing techniques such as Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, sports massage, prenatal massage, and occupational health treatments
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to understand individual needs and develop tailored treatment plans
- Educate clients on self-care practices and recommend appropriate therapies for pain management and relaxation
- Maintain detailed records of each session, including client progress and treatment notes in compliance with health regulations
- Ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment by adhering to sanitation standards and safety protocols
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their concerns and provide exceptional customer service
- Stay current with industry trends, new techniques, and continuing education requirements
Experience
- Proven experience as a licensed massage therapist with a strong background in various massage modalities including Swedish, deep tissue, trigger point therapy, sports massage, prenatal massage, and medical terminology knowledge
- Demonstrated ability to perform patient assessments and develop customized treatment plans based on physiology and anatomy knowledge
- Experience working in medical spas or occupational health settings is highly desirable
- Knowledge of pain management techniques and client communication skills to ensure effective treatment outcomes
- Valid city licensure as a Massage Therapist (Big Lake, MN)
- Prior experience with client documentation, confidentiality standards, and maintaining professional boundaries
