Job Summary:
DiPietro & Kanzelberger LLP is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Entry-Level Accounting & Bookkeeping Specialist to join our growing public accounting team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or an individual beginning their accounting career who is eager to learn, develop professionally, and grow within a collaborative and client-focused firm.
Position Responsibilities
- Perform bookkeeping and maintain accurate financial records for multiple clients.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Complete bank, credit card, and general ledger reconciliations.
- Assist with payroll processing and payroll reporting.
- Prepare journal entries and maintain general ledger accounts.
- Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end accounting close procedures.
- Assist with financial statement preparation and client accounting services.
- Organize and maintain electronic client files and documentation.
- Communicate professionally with clients regarding financial information and requests.
- Perform administrative and accounting support duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field (or currently pursuing higher education).
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and grow.
Technical Skills
Candidates should demonstrate proficiency or working knowledge in:
- Microsoft Excel, including formulas, sorting/filtering, tables, and basic financial analysis.
- Understanding of GAAP
- Microsoft Word and Outlook.
- QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop.
- General accounting software and cloud-based financial systems.
- Document management and electronic filing systems.
- Ability to learn new accounting technologies and software platforms quickly.
Experience with any of the following is considered a plus:
Payroll software
- Tax preparation software / LaCerte
- Practice management software
- Bill pay and accounts payable automation platforms
- Microsoft Teams and SharePoint
Pay: $18.00 - $40.00 per hour
