Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Staff member to ensure the optimal functioning of our facility’s infrastructure and equipment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical and electrical background, with expertise in facilities maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to a safe, efficient environment by performing preventative and corrective maintenance across various systems within our healthcare setting.
Duties
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems to ensure safety and operational efficiency.
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment issues using schematics, wiring diagrams, and testing tools such as ohmmeters.
- Perform welding tasks for structural repairs or equipment modifications as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Assist with residential painting projects to maintain the facility’s appearance and compliance standards.
- Supervise or coordinate with contractors for specialized repairs or installations requiring advanced skills or licensing.
- Follow safety protocols and ensure compliance with health regulations during all maintenance activities.
Requirements
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance within healthcare, manufacturing, or residential environments.
- Strong electrical knowledge complemented by experience working with schematics, wiring diagrams, and electrical testing tools such as ohmmeters.
- Skilled in welding techniques with the ability to perform structural repairs when necessary.
- Mechanical aptitude with familiarity in troubleshooting programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and other automated systems.
- Ability to read technical schematics and mechanical drawings accurately.
- Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation and teamwork coordination.
- Supervising or leadership experience is preferred to oversee maintenance projects effectively.
