Duties
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Monitor patient health by checking vital signs, observing behavior, and reporting changes promptly
- Support medication administration and ensure adherence to care plans in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding as necessary
- Utilize equipment such as Hoyer lifts and resident’s <PERSON> to ensure safe transfers and mobility assistance
- Maintain cleanliness of resident rooms and common areas through regular cleaning and sanitation practices
- Document patient observations, care provided, and any incidents accurately and thoroughly
Requirements
- Prior experience working in assisted living, nursing homes, or home & community care settings preferred
- Knowledge of Alzheimer’s care, dementia care, memory care, and hospice care practices
- Certification in CPR and First Aid is highly desirable; ongoing training encouraged
- Ability to work with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, or other special needs
- Strong communication skills for effective patient monitoring and collaboration with healthcare teams
- Physical stamina for heavy lifting, assisting with transfers, and long shifts on your feet
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to support seniors and individuals with disabilities
